Anthony Akerman

Anthony Akerman is a seasoned expert in Logistics, specializing in decarbonization. With over 30 years of experience, he has led multiple startup and business turnaround operations across the USA, Asia, and Europe. After graduating from UC Berkeley with degrees in Economics, he began his career in Silicon Valley’s Hi-Tech supply chain. He then spent years in the UK and Asia, including launching Exel/DHL’s Logistics Division startups. Anthony served as Managing Director for BDP International’s UK office for eight years, focusing on projects and chemical BCOs. He then joined Damco (Maersk’s logistics division) as MD for UK & Ireland, later managing Maersk’s largest global account, Nestle, to drive decarbonization. Returning to California in 2023, he established a Maersk division supporting the North American Renewable Energy sector. In 2025, Anthony became a Global Director at Logistics Plus and also serves as an Account Director for LPX Partners’ consulting arm and an Advisor for their investments.
